AUGUST IS BLACK PHILANTHROPY MONTH

Black Philanthropy Month (BPM) is observed every August to inform, involve, inspire and invest in Black philanthropic leadership strengthening African-American and African-descent giving in all its forms, for the benefit of our planet, our communities, our organizations and our lives. Several Philanos affiliates fund BPM and numerous affiliates participate to elevate BPM throughout August.

BPM|2021 Global Summit Series kicks off August 3, 2021 and continues through August 31, 2021. Celebrate a Decade of Black Philanthropy Month at the BPM 2021 Making Equity Real SummitGet involved in the many events being offered nation-wide by Black Philanthropy Month.

Watch social media to see what is happening and review our growing list of resources to participate in learning and action during August’s Black Philanthropy Month.

For those of you actively working on DEI issues in your organizations, we want to remind you that we have built rich resource pages on DEI and Anti-Racism efforts.  We would like to augment these resources with lessons learned/best practices from our own affiliates, so if your organization has a specific initiative regarding some aspect of DEI or Anti-Racism efforts, please email us so we can share with the network.
