Philanos Affiliates

Philanos is the leading national women's giving circle network, with more than 90 affiliates in 30 states, District of Columbia, England and Australia. Philanos affiliates vary by membership and governing models; however they all share one guiding mission: to become informed donors, to practice intentional grantmaking, and to make a lasting impact in their local communities.

  • Philanos Affiliates engage in a new, exciting, and collaborative style of community-based philanthropy that empowers women to pool their financial and intellectual resources to award high-impact grants ranging from $5,000 to $100,000. 
  • One of our oldest affiliates began more than 25 years ago, and some of our affiliates have started more recently.
  • Together, they have collectively invested more than $232 million. In 2023 Philanos Affiliates contributed more than $27 million to nonprofit partners in their communities
