2022 Willoughby Award Finalists

The Willoughby Award - named for Colleen Willoughby, founder of Philanos (formerly Women's Collective Giving Grantmakers Network), The Willoughby Award recognizes a woman, who in the spirit of change maker Colleen Willoughby, has transformed the face of philanthropy in her local community through listening and addressing the unique needs of underrepresented populations.

Join us on October 11, 2022 1-4 PM ET, we will highlight the following three finalists and announce the winner live during the final hour of our PowerUP! Fall Virtual Gathering.


Margo Greenfield
Impact100 Essex

    • led Impact100 Essex’s commitment to DEI and creation of the DEI Action Committee
    • helped develop "Every Voice Fellowship"
    • coordinated the new "Equity Grants" applying trust-based philanthropy

Katherine Fulton
Impact100 Sonoma

    • researched community needs and presented “Hidden in Plain Sight” to the community 
    • using a community collaborative approach created  the "Catalyst Fund” in response to the impacts of the pandemic
    • organically applied principles of trust-based philanthropy to grantmaking


Louisa Moats
Wood River Women's Foundation

    • leveraged her deep expertise in the field of effective education strategies to address local inequities
    • helped WRWF examine their commitment to long-term impact and systemic change in the community
    • led the creation of a new focus grant and its implementation
