Here is what Impact Fairfield County is doing:

Lots of other groups including Women's Giving Circle of South Central Kentucky, Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County, Impact San Antonio and Impact100 Philadelphia are taking this approach of lifting up their local pooled COVID relief fund. Giving Together in Chevy Chase, MD is offering a 4X match to a local relief fund.

The Philanthropy Connection in Boston has taken a "curation" approach--lifting up their frontline grantees for folks who are looking for where to send a donation. Impact 100 Greater Milwaukee has a similar page on its website

    Impact100 Philadelphia took both approaches.

    Hey everybody--

We had such a great webinar on Tuesday; if you didn't have a chance to participate, you can see or hear it now.

We talked a bit about #GivingTuesdayNow, but I just found this cool map, where they are mapping stories about what funders are doing to respond to COVID-19.  It would be awesome if you could stick a pin in this map and tell your story of what you have already done to respond to COVID.

    Thanks

Another idea offered by our friends at Philanthropy Together (the Co=-Design entity) and Grapevine. Many of you may have met their CEO Emily Rasmussen in Seattle. Grapevine just rolled out a giving circle platform, and the idea they came up with is to have giving circles create a "Showcase Fund" to curate some recent past grantees that will be especially challenged in the coming months, and encourage your members and others to donate to that Fund on or before #GivingTuesdayNow, which is on May 5, 2020. You can set up the fund for free, and your donors will be charged the usual credit card fee. The funds go into and out from a 501c3 partner called Social Good, so all donations are fully deductible.  You can read more:

Read this quick overview to learn more and create your own!

We hope you'll create a Showcase Fund so together we can show the power, breadth, and hyper-locality of the collective giving movement and engage thousands more people.

*Networks — please send the 2-pager to your network of circles so we can get as many Showcase Funds on the platform as possible!

    Curious to Learn More?

Join us and Grapevine for a 1-hour live troubleshooting webinar (registration required) next Wednesday, April 29th at 12pm ET.

Let us know if you have questions and otherwise we look forward to seeing your circles' Showcase Funds on the site and talking to those who need help during the webinar.

Hope all of this is helpful, and that you and yours are well and healthy.  Paula

Hey everybody--if your group did something special yesterday or in recent days for #GivingTuesdayNow, be sure to take 5 minutes to pin the story to the map on their website, which you can access here:  https://now.givingtuesday.org/
