CircleUp and Celebrate Collective Giving with Philanos
Giving circles are changing communities around the world.
Imagine the power and impact of teaming up with others in this growing movement — in regional areas — with shared values and a commitment to making the world a better place.
That's why Philanos is proud to be partnering with Philanthropy Together, and Grapevine to host CircleUp gatherings around the country as part of our Fidelity Charitable Catalyst Fund grant.
In close collaboration with foundations, giving circles, and networks, CircleUps bring together giving circles and those interested in participating in collective giving in the area for networking, learning and fun!
Discussion areas typically focus on all aspects of giving circle : Membership Engagement, Telling your Story, Grantmaking, Community Leadership and Preparing Future Giving Circle Leaders, and much more!
CircleUp Socials are a great way to connect with fellow members and supporters of collective giving groups in your local community.
During CircleUps, you’ll hear what other collective giving groups in the area are up to and learn how your work is fueling a growing global movement.
CircleUps are open to anyone who participates in collective giving, as well as anyone looking to join the movement.
“As a philanthropy infrastructure organization, Philanos strengthens and connects the collective giving movement by creating opportunities for learning, relationship-building, and shared action. Through CircleUp gatherings, we are proud to work with the Fidelity Charitable Catalyst Fund and local partners to introduce more people to collective giving and direct resources to community-based organizations,” said Renuka Sastri, Philanos Co-Chair."
October 29 - CircleUp Appalachia | Berea, Kentucky
Experience collective giving in action at this free regional gathering, open to the public from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm EDT at Honeysuckle Dining and Bourbon House. Through an immersive Pop-Up Giving Circle, participants will explore shared values, learn about local issues and nonprofits, and award a grant to a community organization—all in one session.
We're proud to have worked alongside many groups in these cities this year to elevate awareness on collective giving and move more dollars to community-based organizations across the US.
