Collective giving groups all tout the wealth of education they provide to their members – in philanthropic work, nonprofit work, community issues, advocacy and leadership skills. How can we harness our educational juggernaut for reaching the next generation? Some of our best minds say ... by taking our model to school.

The Community Investment Network (CIN), a Philanos network affiliate, inspires and strengthens collective giving among African Americans and communities of color. Joy Webb shared a CIN program designed to teach students at HCBU’s how to create change through collective giving. The University of Nebraska Foundation houses Women Investing in Nebraska(WIN) – a collective giving organization and Philanos affiliate that makes gifts to both the University and to the community. Susan Fritz, Chair of WIN, talked about pairing collective giving with education.
