Philanos Joined Philanthropy Together Again For We Give Summit 2022

Philanos was excited to participate again in Philanthropy Together's virtual We Give Summit May 11-14, 2022 - a time to learn, grow and think big with hundreds of everyday givers!

With more than 2,000 giving circles around the world, We Give Summit is the place for giving circle members, community leaders, philanthropy experts, and social impact newcomers to come together, forge new bonds, strengthen our work towards community change, and celebrate!

This year's 4-day virtual event contained inspiring keynotes, thought provoking panel discussions, network blocks with our peers and more than a dozen lightning talks.

The recorded versions are available for several months via the Whova (web and mobile) app.

This Zoom meeting with breakout rooms was not recorded.

Run Toward -Not From- Change
Friday, May 13, 2022
2:00 PM ET

Change is often necessary, and giving circles and giving circle networks, regardless of age, size, or composition, must remain nimble, flexible, and open to implementing change as it is essential for growth and success. Sometimes these changes are operational, like changing or raising members’ contributions, or strategic like integrating equity and inclusion into grantmaking. To successfully facilitate change, leaders must persuade a majority of members to follow a new direction — the beauty of democracy! Hear how two giving circle leaders have recently facilitated change within their circles and learn about the successes and challenges of their efforts.
