I am reaching out about grants for organization-level operating support versus project-based support. I know this was mentioned in this week's (4/27) Philanos call and a few affiliates said that they would send information through.
As we at Women's Impact Fund (Charlotte, NC) move to organization versus project-level funding for this year, and likely next year's grants (if not beyond), we are interested in those affiliates who have been doing this for some time. I would appreciate any affiliate who has done organization-based funding for some time to share your LOI/RFP questions and/or assessment criteria, if willing. Thank you!
The Philanthropy Connection (TPC) has since our inception provided funding for operational support in addition to funding programs. Our grants average $25,000, and we have found that within the philanthropic landscape in Greater Boston, we are able to invest in helping nonprofits grow to the extent that they are large enough for the many foundations here that offer $100k grants to larger, more-established nonprofits.
I would encourage you to read some of the articles from the PowerUP! Conference held in February - many address the need to move toward providing these sorts of grants. Here's a link: https://philanos.org/Breakout-Sessions#Grantmaking
Yeah! We can do it. Being a girl I can understand what is our strength boomessays also describes that a women has the ability to save her and her family and if they want to do something they can do that all is take them to make one decision.
